Mr. Ward is a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration group. He focuses his practice on commercial arbitrations, including ICC/ LCIA and ad hoc arbitration, litigation and dispute resolution. Mr. Ward’s experience spans a wide range of litigation fields, including commercial, construction, regulatory, health and safety, environment, and employment, both in Oman and overseas.
He is an experienced litigator who has acted as both arbitrator and lead counsel before the Omani Courts and in domestic and international arbitrations, including under the auspices of the ICC and the London Court of International Arbitration. He also has substantial experience in Omani/UNCITRAL ad hoc arbitrations and in general dispute resolution before Omani Courts. He has recently been appointed to the Oman Court of Appeal Roll of Arbitrators.
Mr. Ward is ranked as a leading Dispute Resolution lawyer by Chambers Global. Chambers writes that he is “extremely well respected amongst clients and peers” and he is noted for his “confident approach, which is relentless but also really commercial.” Legal 500 EMEA also notes Mr. Ward’s “extensive experience in the jurisdiction and particular expertise in arbitration and risk management” and being particularly active in “construction and engineering disputes.”
