L.P. Harrison 3rd, co-chair of Curtis' Restructuring and Insolvency Group, spoke at the 2016 Africa Round Table, sponsored by INSOL International and the World Bank. The round table, entitled "Freedom to Fail? Insolvency for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises," took place on October 6-7, 2016 in Accra, Ghana.
Mr. Harrison led a session entitled "Case Highlight: Cross-Border Insolvency," alongside co-presenter Jenny Clift of UNCITRAL. The session provided an overview of significant cross-border cases and highlighted procedural coordination issues and the role of the UNCITRAL Model Law on cross-border insolvency.
Mr. Harrison is a fellow of INSOL (International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals), a world-wide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers who specialize in turnaround and insolvency.
