Taimur Malik and Ali Arshad represent Curtis at Pakistan Renewable Energy and Power Conference
Taimur Malik (Partner) and Ali Arshad (Counsel) from the Middle East offices represented Curtis at the 2nd Pakistan Renewable Energy & Power Infrastructure Investment Conference held on 12 April 2017 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The conference was supported by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Siemens, the European Union (EU), Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) of the Government of Pakistan, Bank AlFalah and Habib Bank Limited.
Taimur Malik moderated the session on “Pakistan Renewable Energy Market – the Way Ahead”. Ali Arshad moderated a session and spoke about issues relating to project development and financing in the session on “Financing of Pakistan Renewable Energy Development”. Other notable speakers included the Chief Executive of AEDB and the Deputy Head of the EU Mission to Pakistan. The conference was attended by a number of senior officials from United States Department of Energy, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the EU, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority and the Government of Pakistan. The conference was attended by a number of regional and European renewable energy project developers and trade missions.
