Mr. Miers is a senior associate in the Corporate Group.
He has over a decade of experience in advising clients on a wide range of domestic and international corporate and commercial matters. His particular areas of expertise include negotiated acquisitions and disposals, strategic investments and divestments, complex joint venture arrangements, corporate reconstructions and corporate governance.
Mr. Miers also advises clients on contractual issues across a wide range of business activities including customer and supplier agreements, management agreements, standard terms and conditions, franchising, distribution, contractual liability and consumer law. More recently, his practice has included advising clients on front-end construction and property development projects, with a particular emphasis on hotels and shopping malls.
Mr. Miers has worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and across the Middle East (Dubai, Bahrain and Oman), acting for sovereign funds, listed and large private companies, private equity firms and SME’s across a broad range of industries including telecommunications, education, building and construction, tourism, mining services, education, marine and aquaculture.
Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Miers worked in the corporate teams of large international and Australian law firms, and as in-house counsel at a leading global business service provider focused on modular solutions.
