Mr. Hesse is a partner in the International Arbitration and Oil and Gas practices, with a strong Africa focus. His oil and gas practice concentrates on advising national oil and gas companies on their upstream activities, international tenders, refinery projects, farm-out agreements and other contracts in the petroleum and petrochemical industries. His international arbitration practice includes numerous international arbitration matters involving states and state entities under the ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC rules.
Mr. Hesse is a regular speaker at industry events, which have included NOC conferences, Global Arbitration Review conferences, Juris conferences and AfrikaInvest. He is a lecturer at the CWC School of Energy.
Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Hesse conducted seminars in private international law as an Associate conducted seminars in private international law at Université de Paris II Panthéon-Assas School of Law.
