The firm has particular experience in cross-border disputes, frequently representing clients in commercial arbitrations under the auspices of ICC, ICSID, AAA, LCIA and SIAC rules as well as ad hoc commercial arbitrations.
Curtis’ International arbitration group includes experienced litigators as well as attorneys experienced in international corporate commercial transactions who bring an understanding of deal-making and the sources of disputes. Our commercial arbitration team spans many of our offices, with centers in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Mexico City, Dubai and Muscat.

These include International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), American Arbitration Association (AAA) and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) rules, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) as well as ad hoc commercial arbitrations.
Commercial arbitration clients range from sovereigns and sovereign-owned entities to Fortune 500 companies, startups and individuals across every major business sector, including accounting, banking and other financial services, energy, commodities, manufacturing and distribution, transportation, technology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, telecommunications, tourism and real estate. We have represented clients on a broad range of subject matters, including breach of contract, fraud, antitrust, business torts, defamation, and intellectual property.
Partners of the firm are active participants in various international and commercial arbitration organizations and serve or have served on various ICC committees and task forces in France, Mexico and the U.S. These include the Task Force on the Revision of the ICC Rules of Arbitration, the ICC Mediation Rules, the ICC Rules for Expertise and the ICC Dispute Board Rules. One of our partners also served two terms as Chairman of the ICC Commission on Arbitration.
