On October 27, 2023, Antonio Prida and Irene Petrelli will speak at the 67th Annual Congress of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), an international organization – of which Mr. Prida is a long-time member – that brings together legal professionals from diverse backgrounds with the aim of supporting professional growth and promoting learning and networking opportunities.
The event will take place in Rome and will feature a roundtable discussion on the role of mediation in investment disputes. During this session, the speakers will explore the benefits of mediation, discuss factors and levers that may encourage States and investors to consider it as an alternative method of dispute resolution, and share their experience in order to shed light on the current challenges associated with investment mediation.
