Curtis partners Claudia Frutos-Peterson and Simon Batifort, and counsel Marat Umerov, contributed 10 chapters to "The ICSID Convention, Regulations and Rules: A Practical Commentary," published by Elgar in December 2019. This new book provides an article-by article commentary of the ICSID Convention, the ICSID Institution and Arbitration Rules, and the ICSID Administrative and Financial Regulations.

Dr. Frutos-Peterson and Mr. Umerov authored the nine chapters comprising Part II: Commentary on Administrative and Financial Regulations, which covers ICSID’s administrative and financial provisions, regulations and procedures, as well as immunities and privileges, special provisions, and functions of the secretariat.

Mr. Batifort co-authored the chapter commenting on the provisions of the ICSID Convention on “Replacement and Disqualification of Conciliators and Arbitrators.”
