Dubai, March 20, 2024 – Curtis is pleased to welcome Mikhail Bychikhin as counsel in the firm’s Dubai office.
Mr. Bychikhin has a deep background in international disputes and wide-ranging sanctions experience spanning the EU, the US and UK as well as the CEE/CIS region.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), with broad disputes experience in high-value arbitrations under numerous arbitral rules, including ICC, LCIA, SCC, HKIAC and Russian ICAC, general commercial litigation, enforcement/challenge of arbitral awards and matters involving the application of EU laws and treaties.
As a member of the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS), he also has region-specific experience on sanctions regulations and counter-measures involving CIS and Middle Eastern entities and advises individuals, corporates and financial institutions on sanctions-related due diligence and risk assesments.

Qualified in Russia, Mr. Bychikin is fluent in both Russian and English, he has been recognized for his expertise by leading directories, including Legal 500 for international arbitration and litigation and Pravo-300 as a top Russian practitioner in the sanctions and compliance categories.
