Environmental Chair Charles Howland was Invited to Deliver a Lecture at the UiT: Arctic University of Norway

On September 24, 2019, partner Charles Howland gave a lecture entitled U.S. Climate Policy; U.S. Energy Policy: Neither Exists, And Not Because Of The Current White House at the UiT: Arctic University of Norway, in Tromsø. Charlie’s talk, part of his appointment as a U.S. State Department J. William Fulbright Specialist in energy and environmental law at UiT, summarized the web of federal and state laws that govern energy generation, transmission, and distribution in the U.S. As part of his two week visit to UiT Charlie also advised the university’s law faculty on substantive and pedagogical aspects of the new “Joint Nordic Master Program in Environmental Law” they are establishing, in partnership with Uppsala University in Sweden and the University of Eastern Finland.
