Partner John Balouziyeh will join a panel of experts convened by the International Law Association in New York City on 25 October 2024 to debate the establishment of the Exceptional Chemical Weapons Tribunal (ECWT). Panelists will discuss how such a tribunal would be situated in the current international legal framework alongside the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the ICC. The session will examine how the current international legal framework leaves gaps in international criminal justice and the role the ECWT can play in filling these gaps.
