Legal 500 Latin America 2023 Ranks Curtis Among Leading Disputes Practices

Curtis has been ranked among the leading disputes practices in Latin America for an eighth consecutive year in the Legal 500 Latin America 2023 directory, released on October 19, 2022.

The firm’s market-leading international arbitration practice retains its ranking within the Legal 500’s regional table for International Firms: International Arbitration. Six lawyers are also recognized individually: George Kahale and Claudia Frutos-Peterson have maintained their rankings, and Elisa Botero, Fernando Tupa, Charles Buderi and Mark O’Donoghue have entered the rankings.

Clients praise Curtis as “A team of first-class lawyers,” which “produces very powerful submissions, both orally and in writing.”

Curtis is also recommended in the Mexico Dispute Resolution table. Eloy Barbara de Parres and Claudia Frutos-Peterson remain ranked individually, alongside Ricardo Mier y Teran, who is also recommended.

Curtis Mexico is hailed as “without a doubt the team with the most relevant investor-State arbitration practice in the country. Although they lead the Latin American arbitrations of the firm, they also represent States in other regions of the world, which makes it the only one of its kind in Mexico.”
