Partner Elisa Botero was invited to be a panelist at an interactive discussion co-hosted by the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) and the Center for Houston's Future. The panel titled "Key Elements for the Development and Growth of a Lower Carbon Global Hydrogen Ecosystem" was held on March 19, 2024 and explored the practical components required to create and grow an effective market infrastructure for lower carbon hydrogen.
Along with Ms. Botero, the lively panel featured other green energy experts and they collectively addressed topics such as the development of a carbon intensity index (CI) to effectively price hydrogen shipments, the evolving market pricing space and standard contracts for ecosystem partners, and the policy enablement tools needed/available to advance global hydrogen projects. Ms. Botero made some interesting points about establishing rules and standards on the regulatory front and introducing contract standardization to define the rules of engagement, reducing barriers to entry, and minimizing negotiation costs and legal complexities.
More information on the panel is available here.
