Partner Elisa Botero Speaks on the Role of the ICC in Investment Disputes

Last week, partner Elisa Botero celebrated the 100th year anniversary of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration in Mexico City, Mexico. Ms. Botero spoke on a panel about the role of the ICC in investment disputes. She argued that the ICC Rules, and in particular the scrutiny process of draft awards by the ICC Court, can be an effective way to tackle one of the top criticisms to investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) today: the lack of consistency in the case law.
