Samuel Dangremond Publishes New ABA Article: How to Protect Digital Assets in Your Estate Plan

Trusts & Estates associate Samuel Dangremond has published an American Bar Association article that discusses how an individual’s electronic assets have increasingly become an important part of their estate and identifies the best ways to account for them in an estate plan.

In this insightful article. Mr. Dangremond highlights practical solutions for documenting online accounts and passwords, creating a plan related to how these digital accounts will be handled after an individual’s death, determining legacy contacts and sharing the digital asset plan with an individual’s legal representatives. “Providing for the appropriate treatment of digital assets should be part of any good estate planning attorney’s toolkit,” adds Zach Goldaber, an estate planning associate at the firm.
