Sirri W. Al-Kaylani Joins Curtis London Office as Counsel

London, June 30, 2010 — Leading international law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP announced today the addition of Sirri W. Al-Kaylani as counsel. Al-Kaylani joins the firm's London office and will focus his practice on energy and infrastructure finance matters.

“The arrival of Sirri Al-Kaylani to our London office team brings to the firm significant project finance experience in a variety of developing markets,” noted Curtis Managing Partner Matias Vega. “Our clients doing business in the infrastructure and energy sectors, and particularly those operating in the Middle East, will benefit greatly from his unique expertise.”

Al-Kaylani has advised on project financed energy and infrastructure matters around the world, including transactions in more than 45 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He also has experience with UK Public-Private Partnership (PPP) structures. Al-Kaylani received his diploma in legal practice from BBP Law School, his MA from the University of Bristol and his BA, with honours, from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Al-Kaylani is also a fluent Arabic speaker.

Al-Kaylani comes to Curtis from the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), where he served as Senior Project Finance Counsel. Prior to joining FMO in January 2006, he was an associate in the Energy and Projects Group of Norton Rose in London.
