He also has experience with UK Public-Private Partnership (PPP) structures. Al-Kaylani received his diploma in legal practice from BBP Law School, his MA from the University of Bristol and his BA, with honours, from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Al-Kaylani is also a fluent Arabic speaker.

Al-Kaylani comes to Curtis from the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), where he served as Senior Project Finance Counsel. Prior to joining FMO in January 2006, he was an associate in the Energy and Projects Group of Norton Rose in London.

“The opportunity to join Curtis, a firm that is active in energy and infrastructure projects in so many parts of the globe, was an appealing one for me,” said Al-Kaylani. “I am delighted to be on board and look forward to working with the Curtis team to further develop the energy practice in the Middle East and other emerging markets.”
