Situated in the heart of Mexico City near the hotel district in Polanco, the Curtis Mexico City law office is not only the base of the firm's Mexico practice, but also an integral part of the firm's broader Latin American practice.
The firm offers one of the most robust Latin America practices of any international law firm, having counseled clients in the area for well over a century. To underscore our long-standing commitment to Latin America, in 1991, Curtis became one of the first international law firms to establish a branch office in Mexico City.
The Latin America team has counseled on transactions in virtually every country in the region. All the Curtis lawyers in Mexico City are bilingual and many hold law degrees from Latin American jurisdictions, placing Curtis in a unique position among international law firms. Our attorneys' intimate knowledge of the area and experience advising on some of the largest transactions in Latin America give our clients the confidence they require when doing business in the area.
To ensure a consistently high level of service and the full benefit of our firm's resources and global reach, we utilize an integrated team approach across offices and practices. Many of our Mexico City attorneys have attended American law schools and all received training in our New York office. Lawyers in the Mexico City office are admitted to practice in Mexico. The Mexico City office is operated by our associated firm, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, S.C. The Mexico City office routinely draws upon the firm's international network to provide full-service representation to our Latin American clients and international clients doing business in the region.
