Agustin Patino is an associate in the Firm’s International Corporate Department.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Mr. Patino has experience on a broad range of cross-border matters across industries. He is interested in emerging technologies, having recently focused on addressing the legal issues arising from the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence.
Mr. Patino advises clients on a wide range of business law matters, from entity formation to contract negotiations and enforcement. He is committed to guiding clients of all sizes through the complexities of doing business internationally.
Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Patino worked at a renowned law firm in Bogota, Colombia, specializing in compliance and data protection. He also gained valuable business insight working in-house at Colombia's leading beef production company, where he handled regulatory compliance matters. At one of the top three legal clinics in Bogota, Mr. Patino served as a mediator for out-of-court settlements and as an instructor in alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Patino received his master's degree in business and commercial law from Boston College Law School, graduating with honors. He received his law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, graduating with the Order of Academic Merit. He obtained one of the top scores nationwide in the National Saber Pro Exam 2022, a standardized evaluation for graduating law students in Colombia.
