Ana Amador advises foreign governments and enterprises in a number of U.S. trade remedy proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission. As part of the International Trade team, she has also been involved in several U.S. court appeal and World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement cases on antidumping and countervailing duty issues.

Ms. Amador also provides advice on sanctions. Her experience spans sanctions regime on Iran, Russia, China, Cuba as well as the EU’s Blocking statute. She has also been involved in compliance matters in the area of anti-money laundering. Her overall experience extends to antitrust, European Union State aid, regulatory issues (including pharmaceuticals and chemicals) and international litigation. Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Amador worked as an international trade and antitrust lawyer in a number of boutique firms in Brussels.

Ms. Amador boasts experience in the public sector as she began her career working as assistant to a Member of the European Parliament. She lectures regularly on EU law and frequently participates in academic programs on international litigation and advocacy.
