An experienced international arbitration lawyer and commercial litigator, Enrique Jaramillo has a well-regarded international disputes practice in the energy, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. With a distinct international orientation, Mr. Jaramillo’s practice focuses on representing clients in cross-border disputes and regulatory matters. He is counsel to states and state-owned entities, as well as private companies and individuals.
Mr. Jaramillo’s international arbitration experience includes numerous high-value commercial arbitrations under arbitral rules including the ICC and the UNCITRAL. He also advises governments and corporate clients in complex domestic and transnational litigation. He has represented clients in different jurisdictions, including the United States, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Mr. Jaramillo also advises governments and national oil companies (NOCs) in the development and drafting of policies, legislation and contracts applicable to the energy sector. He provides advice on oil and gas operations in the United States and abroad on a wide range of regulatory, contractual and legislative issues related to exploration and production, and the environmental impact. He has significant experience in advising clients on matters relating to creating and managing energy and real estate funds.
