His practice focuses on the structuring and formation of private investment funds, and on their ongoing compliance obligations. His experience includes the preparation and negotiation of the principal operating documents of an investment fund, including limited partnership agreements, investment management agreements and side letters.
Mr. Thompson advises also on company law, regulatory advice and in conducting due diligence for potential investments on behalf of institutional investors.
Angus Thompson has additional experience in public international law in an inter-State dispute before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in international commercial arbitration, under the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and in investor-state arbitration, under the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
