Mr. Sikander represents private equity, venture capital and corporate clients on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments. He has acted for clients investing and operating in various sectors, including energy and infrastructure, technology, life sciences and telecommunications. Mr. Sikander also regularly advises U.S. and European companies on business formation and general corporate governance matters.
Mr. Sikander is experienced in advising private equity sponsors, issuers and investment banks on US and European securities law matters in connection with complex, cross-border corporate financings, including debt and equity capital markets transactions, leveraged buyouts, high yield debt offerings (Rule 144A / Regulation S) and other private placement exemptions. He frequently advises clients on various aspects of U.S. federal securities laws.
Mr. Sikander joined Curtis in 2021. Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Sikander worked at a Magic Circle law firm in London as well as a leading U.S. law firm in New York.
Mr. Sikander received a J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015, where he was a member of The Tax Lawyer. He received a B.A. cum laude in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University in 2011.
