Mr. Hernández Barrera has represented companies and sovereign states in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms governed by the laws of civil law states, common law, and international treaties.
His experience includes energy, construction, and shareholder disputes. He has been involved in commercial arbitrations administered under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM) and the Mexico City National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO). He also has experience in a State-State trade dispute before the World Trade Organization (WTO).
He holds a dual degree in Law and International Relations from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México
(ITAM). He is certified in Investor-State Arbitration from the American University, Washington College of Law.
