Mikhail Bychikhin is an experienced international arbitration and litigation lawyer, whose extensive experience includes high-value arbitrations under numerous arbitral rules including the ICC, the LCIA, the SCC, the HKIAC and the ICAC. His experience also spans enforcement/challenge of arbitral awards, and matters on application of EU laws and treaties.

Joining Curtis from another international law firm, Mr. Bychikhin has acted in many complex litigations within a commercial context, garnering substantial knowledge in both corporate and arbitration-related litigation.

As a key part of his practice, Mr. Bychikhin advises clients on a significant range of EU, US and UK sanctions matters. Prominent sanctions work includes: challenging sanctions (both in administrative and court proceedings), obtaining and implementing licenses, conducting sanctions due diligence and advising on sanctions risks in corporate, finance and shipping transactions.

Mr. Bychikhin has lectured at M-Logos Legal Academy and Moscow Digital School, speaking on sanctions and international arbitration courses. He has been recommended by Legal 500 in international arbitration and litigation and by Pravo-300 in the sanctions and compliance categories.
