Mr. Gertzikis has represented sovereign states and private-sector clients in high-stakes disputes across the EMENA region, spanning a range of industries, including construction, energy, financial services, and telecommunications. He regularly advises governments and state-owned entities on complex sanctions matters.
He has experience in arbitrations conducted under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
In addition to his arbitration practice, Mr. Gertzikis has handled high-value cross-border litigations in England & Wales, offshore and EU jurisdictions.
Before joining Curtis, Mr. Gertzikis trained and practiced commercial law in Greece, with a particular focus on contentious insolvency.
